A deep deposit of miscellaneous debris fill led Northeast Geotechnical to recommend the proposed mid-rise storage building be supported on steel H-piles that were driven up to 70± feet deep to suitable bearing. Northeast Geotechnical worked with the design and construction teams in developing a test pile program and the driving criteria required to support the design loads based on wave equation analysis.
Northeast Geotechnical’s engineers then observed and logged both the installation of the test piles to confirm pile lengths and drivability and then over 340 production piles. We prepared daily field reports summarizing the pile driving activities. Each report included our pile driving logs and a plan showing the piles that were installed.
